CNN-YouTube debate was a huge success

Forget the old media thinkers who were disappointed in last night’s debate at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. The bottom line is that it was fabulous to hear real people ask real questions.

If you are a candidate, you can dance around a question from Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews, Britt Hume or Tavis Smiley. But when you are staring down a woman who takes her wig off to show her bald head (breast cancer), or a family feeding another grownup (Alzheimer’s), or a parent that has lost a child in Iraq, then it’s that much harder.

You know, we have some experience with this in that the TV One interview I conducted with Sen. Barack Obama was mostly questions from our audience. I would have LOVED to have had video questions, but we didn’t have the resources to do so.

I realize this has absolutely nothing to do with this blog but you have yet to post anything in reference to the “O’Reily” wave of nonsense that you intend to milk for everything you possibly can. I just watched five minutes of Roland ranting and raving about how oppressed blacks still are to this day due to whitey not looking beyond the numbers/statistics. I’ll just say this, why don’t you take a trip across America and ask every single “African American” who they believe are the most “powerful & rich” of their culture. I’d be willing to bet that the majority, or atleast 80% of them would tell you Jay Z, Jesse Jackson, and Oprah. Then you can drive on over to MTV and BET and give them a big thank you. People like you do not help you’re culture, you only prolong its evolution. Want to help black America? Stop using them as a podium for selling hardship and literature. The numbers speak for themselves. If you actually cared at all you would be out there trying to correct those numbers by educating more people vs forcing them to feel sorry for themselves. Don Imus is a prime example of milking it for all its worth and enforcing pitty upon yourself. You should just put a sock in it or move back to the mother land.

Roland, I cannot fathom how you have made a quasi career attempting to dance on the backs of the bruised. Another race baiter but with a difference; you have little education and from a lower tier school. Please Roland, shut up.

I am Pat. Robinson, I am a ex-aadict, 8 yrs. sober. from DC now I live in SC, Im a published writer one book out ( God gives me these stories to tell)

and another one coming out( If you dont read this Book) By: Patricia Robinson, they call me the Lifeteller I speak on the real of life many wont, and I try to tell it like it is with out burdening a hateful opinion on others

I listened to you the other day on TV it was as if it was me speaking finally, some one that can pull themselves away from the inbedded hatred that exsist in this america, Im speaking of blacks and whites, I got a note from this internet person Pearl Jr. spouting her hate, we have to watch our mouths, Im not say not to speak out about injustice there is a way to speak out,

how much hollywood hates black people, on the Pearl Jr web. site

we need to watch what we say, this is why our children are so confused today, because of the words we speak, they listen to all this hate spouted from our mouths and theyre innocent impressionable ears are tainted forever, not by one one statement but the abundance of hateful words that we as adults need to tone down, this is why our young children are displaying so much hate, hate that the innocent shouldnt even know how to act out, it is us we are doing the same thing that the white man did in the 40s-50s and still today, we are lowering our selves to the ignorance whites displayed years ago, and by doing so we are creating hate within our children we as responsible adults need to watch our tongues in front of our children, because they dont know how to control their actions, please get them out of the room when you are about to show anger toward anyone, we need to leave them with choices, by that I mean give them the right to chose if they want to hate or befriend, they have to go to school with all kinds of children, keep theyre hearts free of feelings children should not be burdened with, and choices they should not have to make weather to love or hate..

    Copy Cat Haters of Today

They can be black or white, wanting to be in the mix-beating up innocent kids with rocks and sticks.

These angry kids that we see on corners hanging-small groups, big groups enjoying gang banging.

Wearing they’re pants below the waist-yelling cuss words at others in bad taste.

Hanging out in front of empty houses sneaking to get high-teasing and throwing at passersby.

I’m not saying all kids are the same-if they were they couldn’t find targets for they’re cruel games.

I know because I’ve passed by a group of angry boys and girls-yelling and cussing, forcing others into they is brutal, disgusting world.

Traveling in pack because they’re back isn’t strong enough to walk alone-plotting they’re next victim thru e-mail at home.

I’ve also met them after the arrest for the crime-locked up with adults to do they’re time.

Wild untrained kids sneaking away from they’re fathers and mothers-locked up 13yrs. old begging for more cover.
Once they’re alone and by their self-they relive the pain, the terror, in they’re own mess.
The dreams bring up what they did-over and over they’re life they relive.
They cry out for mercy-in silent they cry for they’re mommy.
The real of it all is the choices made-now they’ll spend a lifetime as they’re body slowly age.
Thru rehab, they come to realize the fabrication in mans truth-hurting, and gang banging without proof.
Being brain washed by words of the past-some of yesterday’s haters will always have a stone to cast.
Bring up what the Indian, the blacks, the Jews, went thru-and its ashame what hateful words can do.
Come on these are our kids struggling rich, poor, black, white making they’re way-and because of mans truth we have the copycat hater today.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article CNN-YouTube debate was a huge success, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100% regarding CNN-YouTube debate was a huge success, but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong :)
