Thank You for intelligent and poignant comments on the confrontations between the Clinton camp and Barack Obama. I have seen many gatekeepers, but I was surprised at Bob Johnson. I should not have been. I have felt that he was a gatekeeper since he sold BET at a time when Viacom’s major agenda was to silence Tavis Smiley. Your points about Lyndon johnson were right on point as someone who studied King and the political backrooms of the time. While Hillary’s comments may have been fact, they were not truth, as you pointed out. It is clear that the Clintons want race out in the forefront. the idea is that if it is, then White Americans will feel uncomfortable and choose Hillary in a backlash. This is a double edged sword. they may just see both campaigns and the Democratic Party as something they are uncomfaortable with. Howard Dean, take note. Remember the Presidential campaign of 2004. It does not take much to turn an election.

All I can say is, “Wow!!” and I thought my life, past and present, was hectic. Great to see that your faith in Christ (I’m sure that’s what holds it all together) keeps you sane. :) I recently sent my son a link to you blog. He’s 17 and knows it all and wants to go to college in Texas (where we last lived). When I saw that you graduated from Texas A&M AND were a Jouralism major, the area I’d like him to seriously consider due his natural gift to write even from a very young age. I hope he checks out your site! ;) Our boys (black, white or whatever) need to see black men (minorities) of faith who can be successful whether by society’s definition (which they are bombarded with by the media and their parents example) and who are genuinely successful because they are doing what God purposed for them to do. Now, I don’t know you, but somehow, I don’t think I’m far off by making that last comment. Peace!
