I had to run out of my apartment to do my live hit on CNN’s AC360, but folks, tonight’s show of Hannity & Colmes was a hot one!The top guest was Jack Kemp, former congressman and the vice presidential running mate of Sen. Bob Dole in 1996.He is a big supporter of Sen. John McCain and they were mostly discussing him and the polls showing him tied or leading Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. But as usual, Sean Hannity couldn’t resist himself and he had to question Kemp about the controversy surrounding Obama’s former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.Hannity was his usual foaming at the mouth self, but Kemp wouldn’t take the bait. In fact, he sounded more like an Obama supporter!Kemp said Obama denounced the comments by Wright; that he didn’t believe Obama holds the same views as Obama; and that you can hold him accountable for something someone he knows says.Sean kept bird-doggin’ him, but Kemp was having NONE of it.At one point, it looked like Kemp was going to get up and leave, telling Hannity, “I”m not going round and round” with you on this, Sean.Hannity looked like a wounded, spoiled brat who got smacked across the face by his dad for not getting his way. It’s MUST SEE TV!

Hi Roland–I just saw you on CNN, and I have to say that you are dead on…I can’t believe it has taken so long for people to compare Wright’s speech to that of right wing evangelical preachers….they are the same, but have different issues, as you said. Thanks for injecting a note of sense into this insipid debate…let’s hope that we will be able to get back to the issues soon….

Roland,
Have you seen the video of this church member from Trinity? I wonder why CNN isn’t running this clip! Maybe you can mention this on air! I think that this will shed a much different light on the Rev. Wright drama! I’m sure that no one is aware that there might be white folks that attend Trinity! If Rev. Wright is such a hate-monger, how could the church possibly have any white church members in their congregation?
this, AND the chris wallace smackdown on fox and friends? it’s been a great day at fox. i will be sure to watch (if i can stomach hannity long enough.)
i also wanted to say, roland, that i don’t always agree with you, but i thought you were STELLAR tonight on AC360, opposite bay buchanan. i watch a lot of cable news (too much i’m sure) and i was literally cheering for you (out loud.)

That’s great news. I am so happy to see people coming to their senses. Sean needs to be shut down. I know we all have freedom of speech but, the words coming from his mouth is full of hatred. He seem to be the racist one. I love your blog and I enjoyed you this morning on NPR.
thanks

Roland, I enjoy very much listening to your point of view. I am a 40yr old white very low income single mother from middle America and I can tell you I feel very much the same as you do. It is rather amazing that regardless of race, sex, income or education we can both see this from the same way. What gets lost in all this back biting and speculation is the fact that this is American and we all can have our own opinion and we don’t have to force that upon others. Why does it seem that in this issue about obama we can’t just realize that he has as much a right to his opinion as we have a right to our own. I am not in the slightest offended or fearful of the sermons of Rev. Wright. Because, I see he is trying to make a point, he’s trying to open eyes and motivate change. There is so much of all this that saddens me. I’d much rather see a man that stands up for his belief than a man that will bow to the popular thought just to gain a vote. Shouldn’t that say something for Mr. Obama?
Dennis Winston Jr.
I saw part of the interview myself Roland and I agree with you man. Sean Hannity is in my opinion is nothing more than a big mouth who likes to hear himself talk. Nobody can get a word in with his mouth running. Jack Kemp basically shut him up. He kept trying to get him to side with him and Jack wouldn’t. It was too funny.

Roland the next time Rev. Wright comes up please read this quote.
Listen to what King said about the Vietnam War at his own Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta on Feb. 4, 1968: “God didn’t call America to engage in a senseless, unjust war. … And we are criminals in that war. We’ve committed more war crimes almost than any nation in the world, and I’m going to continue to say it. And we won’t stop it because of our pride and our arrogance as a nation. But God has a way of even putting nations in their place.” King then predicted this response from the Almighty: “And if you don’t stop your reckless course, I’ll rise up and break the backbone of your power.”
P.S. Here’s the other link you were discussing on cnn tonight

It’s good to see that someone over at fox has a conscience.
Keep up the good work Roland. i listen to you each morning on WVON

While I feel uncomfortable as others listening to Pastor Wright’s words on TV and YouTube , how does one compare the impact of these words that “Obama did not have the courage to condemn” at the time they were said – as Pat Buchanan suggested on AC 360 tonight- to the impact of McCain’s support to invade Iraq? The politics of judging presidential candidates on the basis of their association with others who used inflammatory language is something dirty; yet, we give it so much attention. In the long run we would have missed the point of focusing on what most hurt Americans. America, please grow up!

I just saw you on CNN 360. sadly John King only showed the ‘snippet’ From Reverend Wright’s 9/11 sermon. You gallantly tried to explain that the Reverend was referring to Ambassador Edward Peck, who had been interviewed on Fox news. Mr. King pointed out that They could not locate an interview with Peck. I did find one. It happened on both Oct. 10 & 11, 2001. Peck was pointing out how with the current government mindset, Saddam was blamed for everything.
This evening you were paired with Bay Buchanan. How easy it is for her to castigate Obama about remaining with his church & then minimising how white evangelical ministers only preach about sin, not social policy
Since all this started late in the previous week, I have felt outrage, discouragement& yet hope because of people like you. I was 12 when JFK was campaigning and was so thrilled when Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama.
I can only hope that people will see that this man, yes this African American, is the one to not only offer hope and change within and without our country, but has the ability to carry through.

I’m waiting to see if the conservative far-right media (limbaugh. beck, hannity) will say about the report to come out in one of New Yorks publications that Sen. McCain sought the support of that nut-job Rev. John Hagee
What I would truly like to know is where are the foaming-at-the-mouth pundits yawping for John McCain to decry, denounce, repudiate, reject and spit upon the televangelist Rod Parsley, who among other extreme positions, calls for the destruction of the “false religion of Islam.”
Why aren’t they baying at McCain to decry, denounce, etc., that picture of religious restraint, John Hagee, whose list of affronts is so long McCain could be renouncing and repudiating until the November election and he still wouldn’t be able to mop up the venom Hagee has splattered on his campaign. McCain embraces these vile excuses for clergy and the pundits, “reporters” and anchors blink three times and move on to a juicy story about Britney.
Hagee calls the Catholic Church “The Great Whore,” “the ‘apostate church,” the “anti-Christ” and a “false cult system” (say what?) and no one foams at the mouth and makes it seem as though John McCain himself had said those very words from the pulpit in front of God and Everybody.
I wish the alleged “liberal media” would borrow a bit of Hannity’s foam and start raising some hell to hold McCain’s feet to the fire about these two dangerous crackpots. As far as I can see Rev. Wright wants equality and social justice for all Americans. Parsley and Hagee want Armageddon and a president who can deliver it to them. What scares you more?

P.S. What’s the difference between Sean Hannity and the Hindenburg?
One’s an over-heated gasbag and the other’s a dirigible.

I am sick of the day to day repeat of this story about Obama’s pastor. I think what people are missing is that this relgious leader should be commended for the honerable and humanitarian member he mentored and turned out into this world. If this is the product of a member of his congregation; then where are the rest??? We need more leaders such as Barack Obama whe have chosen the path of public service by healing the country one person at a time. This pastor must be so bad that he attracts family’s such as the Obama’s and keeps them as members for 20 or so years? Members who are kind, giving, caring, leaders; members who care so much about their fellow man that they want to take this mission to a much higher level; helping to lift this nation up to where it can hold its head up high, once again. This is what this religious leader has done…shame on him? I think not. I think we should thank him for giving us a citizen of the world; one, who as our next president, will look out for America; as he has the innate ability to connect with people on a human level; hear the needs and answer them in a personel way. This is the message missing on CNN, MSNBC, etc; this Pastor turned out the caring leader we call, Barack Obama. Judy
Sarah E.
Mr. Martin,
keep up the good work. I was quite pleased to hear you challenge CNN to be the station to have the real conversation about divisions in the U.S.
Sarah E.
P.s. and you can delete this. There is a typo in your post.
“that he didn’t believe Obama holds the same views as Obama”
I think you meant something else….
Namgeun Jeong
I wondered if I am a sexist when it occurred to me “To some men like Jack Kemp, Mike Huckabee and John McCain, kitchen sink politics are off limits”.
Jack Kemp suggested that we should cut some slack to Sen. Obama.
Mike Huckabee went even further. He defended Rev. Wright.
Roland – It’s really pretty bizarre when we start holding people accountable for what their pastor says. It’s a Red Herring; a distraction. It’s interesting that we live in a country where we had a vocally segregationist Senator elected time and again to office; and those were his own words! The other thing that really gets me is that Barack Obama is half white. The fact that we refer to him as an African American is, fundamentally, a function of our segregationist history that defined a black person as a person with one drop of Negro blood. This completely disparages his caucasion heritage including the fact that his upbringing by his white mother and white grandparents, undoubtedly, had a profound impact on his perspective. When he makes comments, people really need to take them in the context that his is multiracial; not simply a black man.
I think the networks and cable stations should play equal portions of Hagey and Falwell and Wright. They are virutually sayin gthe same thing. The only difference is that McCain sought both of the white evangelists’ political support, and Obama did not use Wright in his political campaign. There really should be a show running the comparisons of the 3 ministers if this discussion about religion is going to be a fair one.

Roland:
That was a pretty lame Hannity and Colmes video clip you selected. Typical Shawn H. but actually more tame than you describe. “Pimp Slap”, “Wounded Brat”…????
http://rolandsmartin.com Roland
Steve,
You KNOW Hannity wanted Kemp to go along with him on this. And Kemp refused to take the bait. And yes, he acted like a wounded brat because Kemp would not buy into his nonsense. He kept saying, “Jack, but this is really important…”
Jack was clearly saying, “No, Sean, it’s not.”
http://cornewillie@yahoo.com O. Smith
Jack Kemp said, “If he lose, let him lose on economic policy, or waving a white flag to our enemies, not on what his pastor said.” Sean Hannity, “Yeah but, I found some more stuff. Jack Kemp, “I said on your radio show that I was not going to constantly talk about this.” Sean Hannity, I found these statements last night, some other pastor said this”. Damn It!! I got some more stuff and I can’t let it go. Jack, I respect you but you almost sound like a Democrat, shoots, gosh darn.
MaL.
It seems like the Gospel of Jesus-Christ is in peril, and pastors around the country should stand up in order to teach Christians and protect the Gospel. What Jesus-Christ calls in the Bible, “The tongue of the snake”, is poisoning the faith of Christians through the media.
The Devil, through the media, is asking people to control their pastors and leave the church anytime the pastor says something they do not like. Thus, pastors and preachers have just to preach what members and the media want to hear, but not what God wants them to tell his people.
These spokespeople of Satan want Obama to leave the House of God just because the pastor said something that they did not like. This is purely the voice of Satan himself who want to have Christians out the house of God.
Obama or any other Christian would not go away from the house of Jesus-Christ because of any message from the pastor. It would be a serious offense to our God to leave his church as a revolt against his minister. Nobody knows if the message is from God Himself. Let’s not forgot that Jesus-Christ, in the Bible, has used tough and harsh language to condemn wrongdoing of people and countries. If we read, in the Bible, the messages of preachers and prophets from God against their countries, we will notice that those messages were not necessary what kings and people wanted to hear.
A Christian would not expect a pastor to be as patriotic as a politician. The pastor is “patriotic for the Kingdom of God”, but not really for his country.
God bless Obama for standing against the temptation from the Devil through his ambassadors in the media. He needs God’s blessing in order to lead this country to the new and right direction.

Roland:
Shawn can be absolutely ridiculous but the Kemp thing is a poor example… there is so much from Hannity’s body of work to choose from. Stay selective and I look forward to the debate.

It is clear that many at Fox are down right Racist. They continue to loop video to incite the audience in a hatred manner. This is criminal for major Network to support this hatred.
Vivienne
I have been absolutely upset with all of the normal channels (excluding FOX; they are not quite normal) on how they have been covering Barack Obama. The reason I am upset is because you don’t seem to be able to cover everybody in this race in a fair and balanced way. I feel that all of you, which means, every network is fake when they act like they just can’t understand why Barack Obama was affiliated with a man like Jeremiah Wright. Why did he not have the judgment to get up and run away from Jeremiah Wright you all say. Well, I would agree with you that if the tenor of that church is to yell and scream at everyone, and say ugly things every Sunday and a few extra days thrown in between, I wouldn’t have been able to stand it. However; I believe that the real truth of the matter is much more complex than anyone is willing to acknowledge. I still think that it is a fair question but I don’t think that anyone is prepared for a fair answer. So what’s next?
Is the media going to exercise a little scrutiny toward John McCain and Hillary Clinton’s choices of worship or spiritual guidance? I think it is only fair if you do. I can tell you that I was startled to think that Barack had such religious ties to a church, not that I want my potential leaders to be void of god, but I want a clear separation of Church and State. It needs to be clear and separate! This really got me thinking about the other two.
I knew about the Hagee endorsement of John McCain and I saw the picture of the whore who he had named first name “Catholic and last name “Church”, he was pointing to her with his pointy little stick and explaining how we were going to get to Armageddon and how she was going die, die, die; something like that. Boy he’s a nice normal, conventional, everyday preacher man. Don’t you agree? Of course John McCain denounced the ugly comments he had made about the Catholic Church and that was that. However; there is a certain Pastor named Rod Parsley, who is John McCain’s “spiritual guide”. That’s a little different because John McCain calls him his “spiritual guide”. No one seems to think that relationship with John McCain is a problem. I can tell you that I am very curious as to why a man like John McCain, who has unlike Barack, attended normal, conventional, churches all of his life and would want to seek out Parsley as his “spiritual guide”. Why not seek out the normal conventional pastor of his church to be his “spiritual guide”. Are you feeling like a hypocrite yet? Why not take all of the divisive comments from Parsley’s and Hagee’s fiery hate speeches and string them together and run them endlessly all day long for about 3-4 days and ask the questions, what is John McCain doing with these people? How can he possibly have the judgment to run our country when he doesn’t have the judgment at the ripe old age of 71 years old to denounce these men and break all relations with them? Do you feel like a hypocrite yet? Did you know that Rod Parsley not unlike Jeremiah Wright thinks that our government has sanctioned an agency in this country to target and kill as many black babies as they can? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw8-9AGGsQw
How is it that Wright believing that the government created AIDS to kill all the black people in the land different than John McCain’s “spiritual guide” claiming that somehow our government would allow some organization to declare genocide on black babies? Do you feel like a hypocrite yet? I could go on and on with the fella’s John McCain is rubbing up against. Guess it doesn’t bother anyone’s conscience to be so lop-sided and one-sided, huh?
I can’t let Hillary off of the hook. I understand that she is with a group called the “Fellowship”. This one is just weird and really needs to be investigated. I believe that the American people need to know that Hillary is involved with a cult like group of bible and pray people who have some really interesting Christian views. I find it disturbing. Apparently, the “Fellowship” or the “Family” as they are sometime called is a secretive religious group that seeks to bring Jesus back to Capitol Hill. Sounds good on the surface but, wait… how about a separation between Church and State. I want my rights to worship anyway I choose to be protected. I don’t want to have some politician’s stupid, secret, views weaved into my American experience; thank you very much. Oh, and why is it secret? What’s wrong with Hillary, why is she always hiding something? Can she not do anything without hiding? Back on point; according to an article in Mother Jones, the Fellowship believes that the elite win power by the will of God, who uses them for his purposes. Its mission is to help the powerful understand their role in God’s plan. Oh great, that’s what we all need, a whole entire Washington, DC full of politician’s who think that (remember how George W. Numnuts thinks that God wanted him to be elected President) god wants them to be President, Senator, Congressman, Representative, Lobbyist and Special Interest, girl or guy. So, what’s next?
Might I suggest a documentary on Jeremiah Wright, Rod Parsley, The Fellowship and Hagee. I think it would put everybody’s worship and relationships into perspective.
A. McNeal
Great job. I think you should keep up the pressure on Hannity and expose him for the un-American fear tactics. This is one nation, and we are on a course of coming together like never before and Hannity represents the old wedges of division. I am so glad that you are hear to balance the scales.
Keep up the good work, America needs you.
Bev Coope
Roland, Hannity is heartless when it comes to African Americans and any other Minority Group.
Nevertheless, because his News Network allows him to do what he does, I believe that they share not only Hannity’s view but others including O’Reilley.
But what these type of heartless individuals don’t realize, is that their perception only substantiate’s some of the things Rev Wright is saying in his words. Let’s prove that we can move on from here and see a Colorless Society. WE must stop and think about our fellowman before WE destroy ourselves.
Thanks
Denise
Roland:
Here is the link of Ed Peck that you referenced on CNN Friday when dissecting Wright’s speeches.
CNN finally found the audio segment of much longer than 5 seconds that can put the sermon of Rev. Wright into proper context. Unlike those idiots like Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs, Kemp et al are wise enough to know that they were opening a can of worm and walking into it.
Bea Smith
What I am not clear on Mr. Martin is, Why do believe that Mr. Hannity “hates” Mr. Obama? How come it is not that he disagrees with the bulk of the candidates platform? I am not always interested in the method that some radio/TV hosts use but the information is sometimes relevant.
My concern about your remark is the very string word “HATE”. I have listened to many and it is usually a dislike for politics or positions not the man/woman themselves. I laugh at the “Hate Hannity Hotline” because I know that there are many people who reduce their feelings to Love or Hate. You however should have some middle ground. I am seriously not a fan of Ms. Clinton and will probably vote for Mr. McCain because of his experience. Mr. Obama, while an intelligent articulate speaker, is just too young and inexperienced for me. (Incidentally Hillary is also too inexperienced and less articulate for my taste). I appreciate your allowing me the opportunity to respond to your query.
Al Johnson
Roland, it’s very inspiring to have someone like you who is exposing Americans to the hate mongering media that FOX news channel is. They keep pointing out that Barack Obama should have left Reverend Wright’s church and not stayed for as much as “20″ years if he knew that the reverend was making such incendiary statements.
A question I want to ask is, “Why is it that after it was found that fathers had abused and molested young boys in the Catholic Church, why didn’t the congregation get up and leave”? A lot of our high ranking officials still attend these churches that have been involved in scandals as such and I don’t see anybody telling them that they made the wrong decision by remaining a member of the church.
Joseph W. Wright
Jack Kemp is a milquetoast conservative, much like his running mate in the 1996 presidential race. Kemp’s opinions are considered by true conservatives to be of no more value than that of someone like Senator Chuck Hagel.
Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday, is a liberal. His dad, Mike Wallace, is as left wing as is possible without a prescription. So for you to hail Chris Wallace’s chastisement of the hosts of Fox and Friends as a welcome surprise is disingenuous and misses the mark entirely.
B. Hussein Obama is running for the most powerful seat of leadership in the world. Therefore, his associates and their positions on matters political are of great importance. Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s comments, taken in their full context, speak loudly and clearly for themselves. No parsing is required.
Got oil?
For all those so-called christains out there, believe me when I say, God is watching! He may not attend the same church as Hannity, Dole, O’Rielly or the Clintons, but he’s watching :

I am so mad. I have never met anyone as evil as Sean Hannity and it scares me. The man should not be on TV. Obama does not deserve the way Sean uses half truths. I am also mad because we let him.
When people did not want OJ Simpson to get anywhere or make money, they called up the sponsors. Black people need to do the same thing. We need to boycott Sean Hannity by calling the sponsors and letting them know that we are not going to buy their products. We need someone like MLK when blacks refused to ride the buses. We can cripple this man and fox news.
We need to stop letting people take advantage of us. We need to stand up. I listen to these black talk shows like Warren Ballentine, Tom Joyner and others and they just complain. We have been complaining for years and it has not gotten us anywhere.
Lets help each other by standing up for what is right. Let ban together and not let people use us and take advantage of us.
harriett
Thanks for speaking out for the one’s that can’t defend they race on TV. I appreciate all you have done and is doing to educate people about race. Lou Dobbs stated on the Warren Balentine show last week that his attack on Obama was personal. Also, his cotton picking statement was offensive.
Once again, thanks for keeping it real.

Roland,
What is up with Joe, Chris & David on MSNBC. I thought news anchors were suppose to present themselves unbiased. It was hard watching how they celebrated in Senator Obama’s defeat last night. Joe had the nerve to call Michelle Obama an “angry black woman” today & I think MSNBC executives should make him apologize for the insensitive sterotypical characterization of black women. For me, it all comes down to racism and the fact that America, more specificially, the white men of America are not ready to salute a black man as president. I do not care how much money Senator Obama spends, he cannot change the hearts and minds of racist. If he goes hard at Senator Clinton, he is being too hard or negative on her( Black man anger against a white woman) If he tries to stay above the negativity , he is seen as not being a fighter (Whimp per Joe of MSNBC) If he discusses her current and past relationships with controversal figures( President Clinton pardons the Ayers.wutheral people, Gov Rendel publicly praising Hon. Farrakhan, & President Clinton support of the Million Man March) He is seen as deviating from the issues. Chris of MSNBC ridiculed Obama for drinking orange juice instead of coffee at a diner in Pennsylvania. My point is, no matter what he does or do not do, it is never going to be enough becase RACE in America still an issue
Florida Girl
I have a Ph.D. in Phschology and still I can’t figure out stupid white people. When MSNBC found a clip of the Penn. Governor, Rendale, speaking at an event praising Farrakhan, in the highest prasie you can offer to a person, How many times did they run that before the Penn. primary? I have been watching the o8 elections closely and find that the commentators are wedging an all out fight against Obama. They have run Rev. Wright’s ad so many times until I think that I can preach the same sermon the same way.
If it is ever a time that African Americans need to take a serious look at what white American (some) are doing, we need to get out and vote for Barack Obama. They keep saying that Obama has no experience and Hillary has experience. Does 1st lady of the white house is experience. If my husband has been called to be the pastor of the church because he has experience. I as the 1st lady should be able to preach from the pulpit? She has the same experience as Barack. I just happen to think that he is smarter and has the attitude and temperment to run this country in style, Just like JFK!
OBAMA 08
Harold
Billy Graham too.
Let’s not forget that Billy Graham called the “satanic Jews contollers of the media and porn pushers” (Nixon tapes 1972, google it) yet he was the “spiritual advisor” to 9 presidents, Rep and Dems alike. Was he relevant, no and neither is Rev Wright when it comes to the business of this country.
Lana Robinson
Really, from what I gathered, listening to Rev. Wright, and just observing the whole big flap is that Barack Obama is somewhat of an opportunist who identified with a church that could help him get a foothold into Chicago politics. While I doubt he shares Rev. Wright’s views, he can’t denounce him because to do so would be to alienate all the congregants who have helped and supported him. Now that he is trying to appeal to a broader audience, he has tried to distance himself from his former pastor and congregation without coming right out and saying so. As Rev. Wright correctly stated, “He did what a politician does.” Senator Obama is in a quandry. His chickens are coming home to roost.
C. Jenkins
Roland, I just wrote a note to Sean Hannity and asked why Fox did not replay a tape on Tuesday brought to the station by Russell Simons showing Gov Rendell praising Minister Farakhan in an elaborate ceremony even to the point of choking up and praising the entire Nation of Islam.
Yet, none of the other Media ran it at all. I also told Sean that all Obama supporters, black, white, rich and poor will initiate a boycott against the sponsors until they get rid of him. I want him fired and never in my entire life have I wanted harm to come to anyone, even my enemies.
Sean needs to walk in a black man’s shoes for even a day. No job!!!!!!!
Obama is a good man, we all recognize this and he is being attacked from all sides. Nothing frightens whites more than a strong intelligent black man or woman. Always the fear of the unknown.
The Media and the Clintons are attempting a “Modern Day Lynching” Roland this is how they do it today, with the stroke of the pen. When Hillary and the Media refer to Obama as elitist what they are actually saying is he’s “an uppity nig…” Make no mistake, Hillary was singing to the choir, the white bigots in Pa. and the uneducated and poor that take her at her word. Some of us blacks still feel the white person is better than ourselves and yes we have some blacks hating Obama because Hillary told them to. They are a product of mental genetic slavery and will always feel whites are superior to them. (Pa. is full of the KKK) This is who she was strumming her tune to.
I call Hillary’s tactics “USE and ABUSE” She uses them when she needs them and abuses them when they won’t tow the line
I am 65 years old and a very light skinned black woman. I have heard everything imaginable coming out of their mouths. They mistake me for white and when I tell them I am Black, the first thing they say is “NO YOU ARE NOT” and right afterward “you knew we were kidding, don’t you?”
When I had a HUD Contract, the officials would call me up and try to give me a clue of what I should do for certain people by saying “Charlotte, this agent is a person of non color” This was saying to me, treat him/her or they special.
Roland, I could write a book on “under the table with white people” when they think you are white. It is amazing what I have learned.
Hillary and Bill are just such hypocrits.
Thanks for allowing me to vent, I would love to be a guest on Sean Hannity with duct tape over his mouth. We know neither Sean or Bill allow anyone to speak if it is not their view coming out of your mouth.
I am so proud of you, whenever I see you or Donna Brazil or the other white lady with the short dark hair (can’t think of her name now) I know I will be listening to a fair and honest exchange.
Keep the faith and keep “kicking butt.”

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Jack Kemp pimp slaps Sean Hannity over Rev. Wright, Obama drama!, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
Tunde
Outstanding piece of work from Rev. Wright. The only problem I have is not with Wright (as I said Wright did a good job of saying it as it is), but with Obama. Wright indeed was right when he said Obama is a politician. He is bound to say anything to win votes and the same goes for Clinton and McCain. My question to Obama is why he let the media control his campaign and take him for a ride as long as they have for something/someone he has no control over? Did he not see McCain put to rest the Pastor Hagee and extra marital affair allegation issue instantly and never to rise again? Does this reflect that Obama was created by the media and is bound to be destroyed by them since it sounds like he is their puppet and he does not have the back bone to stand up to them firmly and without fear and tell them to say the truth as it is?
On the issue of character, is Obama truly an inconsistent man? This is a man who gave a great speech on race and said he would not disown Wright but goes to talk shows and says things like if he had known Wright was preaching such things he would have left the Church a long time ago. In other words, he would have disowned him. We all know that he knew what Wright was preaching (like I said, 99.9% of what he said are uncomfortable truths) thereby still giving him up to be sacrificed for his political mission. This is were the issue of character comes in. Do we as individuals let other peoples views and request instantly shape our decision about the people we love which causes us to throw them to the wolves or do we say regardless of what the others think about my friend, I’ll stand by you. Regardless of my goals in life, I’ll sacrifice my life and my goals to keep you safe? To me, he didn’t do that he thought of himself alone. He forgot about not only Wright and his hurt feelings because of the distorted reports on what he said , he forgot the members of the Church also who have been threatened, called ugly names, caged by the media etc. I dare say Obama became self centered. If he was a sincere friend and not a politician as Wright pointed out or atleast a politician with a heart, he would have sort out the message(s), listened to it (he may not necessarily agree to the whole messages), and spoken eloquently on what Wright said (but guess what he is a politician. Politicians don’t do that), tell the media categorically he would not be accepting question about Wright anymore and stick to it. Sooner or later the media “flies” will disperse from that topic.
It goes to show that Obama may be thinking that the World revolves around him and any other person may not matter. But that simply is not true.
The media, came up with statements like Wright coming out to speak about the issues that plagued him was not the right time. That he should have waited to speak after the NC and Indiana primaries and that it may hurt Obama. The sincere question to the media is, will there ever be a right time for Wright to speak giving that the media tried to use him not only to destroy Obama but tried to destroy everything the man had built and stood for in just 30 seconds? I don’t think so. If he waited till after the primaries, the same media would say he is trying to destroy the Obama’s chances of getting to the white house. If he wins the elections and gets to the white house then Wright speaks, the media would say he is an old unhappy man who has scores to settle and is trying to make Obama look like a black president instead of the President of USA. So please tell me “ALMIGHTY MEDIA” when is the right time for Wright to speak?
To Obama. Listened!! As Wright truly stated, If God Almighty has ordained you to be President of this Country there is nothing FOX,CNN or ABC can do about. They shall only be lions that have no teeth and no claws. They would roar but it will not be enough to cause you to lose the election.
Finally, Joseph said to his brothers in Genesis what you thought for evil God turned it around for good. You sold me into slavery but God used that to send me ahead of you so that you and your posterity shall not die in the days of famine. The same goes for the so called controversy. FOX, CNN, and ABC etc thought you were crushing a man but let me show you the flip side of what you did.
1) You by your actions, caused Obama to give one of the greatest messages on races that echos beyond the North American shores.
2) You by your actions have caused Jeremiah Wright who spoke to 8000 plus every sunday for 30 plus years in the Ministry to speak to, by my calculations over 30 million people not just in the US but around the World about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what the Gospel means to man kind. That to me is the greatest parting gift you could have given to him when he finally retires.
3) You by your actions have caused people all over the world have to talk about the issues of race searching within themsleves to find out about their faults and work on it.
4) You by your action have once taught Americans not to depend fully on you for information but to go out and search for the real truth.
Thanks for being so STUPID.
W Johnson
