It will go away when the media stops talking about it. Let it go. The media has lost focus. Modern day lynching. Rev Wright is not JESUS. We all have opinions. Is anyone asking the people who voted for Bush about what they where thinking to elect this guy twice. Are they guilty by association and blaming themselves for the recession?

Roland: I am a white woman living in Birmingham, Alabama. I have plenty of Republican coworkers etc. who absolutely hate Hillary Clinton. Barack can reach them but he needs to stay positive and I seriously agree with you about staying with the issues. It is a myth that Hillary has all white women in her back pocket.

It’s quite simple how we can get beyond Rev. Wright…stop talking about it. We as black people need to STOP and take a look at what is going on here. It is the same old trick, tactic that has been used against us since we were brought to in this country “DIVIDE AND CONQUER”.

It is really sad to see what the enemy is doing to Barack, Rev. Wright and we as a race. This whole thing was designed to do exactly what is happening. Since we as “black” people pride ourselves so much on spiritually, why can’t we see exactly what is going on here. The enemy is trying to do a two-for-one here with Barack and Rev. Wright. He is trying to destroy both of them at the same time and we as a people are allowing him (the enemy).

Have you noticed, I certainly have, everytime it’s a so-called black issue or a time to tear down I see more “black” news commentators, journalists, surrogates, elected officials, etc. than any other time in media. When this story broke yesterday WHO did the media have on TV all day “black” pastors, commentators, elected officials, etc. They (white media) backed off yesterday and let us tear down each other and quite successfully I might add. Is Barack any better off this morning from all of our opinions in front of the media yesterday regarding Rev. Wright “NO”!!! The media is now questioning Rev. Wright’s and Barack’s beliefs, sincerity, motives, etc. looks like “you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t” which we all know is the American way regarding black people as a whole. Yes, we all know Rev. Wright could have conducted himself a little differently at the press conference, but the fact is we “ALL” know including the white people that what he said was “TRUE”!!! That’s exactly why not one thing was disputed or called into question regarding all the history that has been exposed by Rev. Wright in the last five days. Now we as a people are all caught up in the trap that was set for us ONCE AGAIN, with “Rev. Wright shouldn’t have acted like that”…”He should have just shut-up”…”He’s trying to destroy Barack”, etc. HELLO Barack is not the only one in this whole equation here…we have Barack, Rev. Wright and the race as a whole. Thank God that none of us are held accountable for the many, many times that we have acted in a way that we shouldn’t have or said something we shouldn’t have said, THANK GOD!!!!

How DARE all you “black” clery go on national TV and tear another brother down. Have you seen a mass of “white” priests on TV tearing down all the CHILD MOLESTERS in the “CATHOLIC” church or the catholic church body tearing down their church “HELL NO”. No one dare to bring up the “VILE” history of the “CATHOLIC” church. It’s OFF LIMITS and we need to learn the same thing. If we as a people have a problem with Rev. Wright let’s deal with him in the “HOUSE” and not put all of our business in the “streets”. We are truly exposing our “WEAKNESS” as a race and that is “DIVISION”. I see Rev. Eugene Rivers on his media tour also, now who does it look like wants “his 15 minutes of fame”!!! Stop looking for the “white” man to validate us “he won’t”. WAKE UP PEOPLE AND STOP IT!!!

What does Hillary look like today…like she cares about the country and it’s people and is focused on the issues that matter to Americans…instead of the deceitful, manipulative liar that she is. FYI…it one of her supporters that suggested and arranged the press conference with Rev. Wright. Do you think it was for Rev. Wright’s or Barack’s benefit? NO, it set the stage for exactly was has happened. Yes, Rev. Wright may have fallen into the trap because of his passions and hurt in this situation, but that does not mean we all fall into the trap right behind him. In fact, we need to be pulling him out of the trap that was set for him. THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Well, the white media finally accomplished what it had been trying to do for weeks. The schoolyard bullies (media) , kept pushing the two prominent black men into a fight and they finally succeeded.

“Did you hear what Rev. Wright said about your momma, Obama?” one side said to the Illinois senator. “He said your momma was a dirty tramp!”

“Did you hear that, Reverend? Obama just said your momma was a dirty tramp!” the other side whispered in Reverend Wright’s ear.

The two men, who had no beef with each other before this, both get a big shove from behind, collide into each other from the media bullies, Hillary and McCain, and now they’re swinging at each other!

“Look — a fight! A fight!” the white media screams with glee.

The entire schoolyard — Fox news, Sean Hannity, political pundits, the Hillary and McCain camp, overall white media — are cheering because they love the sight of black blood, black diviseness, black folks fighting each other, and black confusion.

Of course, the powers — the media, Hillary & McCain camp — knew about Reverend Wright long before the primary started but kept the info like a secret weapon until it was time to spring it.

Obama took the bait. Instead of sticking to his guns and the issues after explaining himself in the first speech then saying — “Reverend Wright is from a different generation and was speaking on his experiences as a black man who lived through the harshest segregation, but I’m speaking from a different generation and my views are different and I will only speak on that and let Rev. Wright speak on his. I am not responsible for what he or anybody else says. I’m through with it and i will only talk about the issues that affect the American people. Next question?”

Instead, Obama pandered to the white folks, and ignored the feelings of all the black folks who AGREE with Reverend Wright about AIDs (because its’ true), and about Farakkhan being an important voice in the 20th century (he was) and, thus Obama threw black folks under the bus to appease white folks.

Obama knows he can take black votes for granted because blacks are loyal rebels without a cause (or any knowledge about the issues) as long as the show is entertaining and they sprinkle a few black faces in the mix. Everybody knows we prefer flash and style over SUBSTANCE. That’s why Obama ain’t worried about offending us, he’s worried about offending the white folks. That’s why Obama can tell us to stop feeding our kids Popeye’s chicken for breakfast but he can’t afford to even HINT that white folks are bitter about losing jobs and homes without taking big heat.

We are so excited about a black president (flash & style) we never asked ourselves what Obama has supported in the past or why he never shows any concern for black issues (substance). What did Obama say about Jena Six, or Katrina, or AIDS in America, or about black kids dying in his home state? If you ask most Obama supporters those questions, most can’t give you an answer, and most don’t care.

Maybe, that’s what Reverend Wright meant when he said “politicians doing what politicians do”.

Maybe, Rev. Wright feels he is accountable only to God and is compelled to speak honestly from his heart rather than pretend that Obama is NOT a politician who is saying whatever he must say to get votes. Maybe Rev. Wright knows that no black or white man or woman can survive in the snake pit of American politics without either already being a snake OR be willing to become one. Maybe, he refuses to put ONE black man’s political ambitions over the survival of black people.

Maybe, Rev. Wright knows that if Obama can’t or won’t speak up for black folks when he’s running for office, he’s not going to speak up for us if he gets into office.

Wake up, people. All politicians are opportunists, liars and actors. If you look at a politician and imagine him or her to be your savior or the next Martin Luther King, you are delusional. Seek immediate help.

Boy is Barack Obama in deep doo-doo. When news broke about Jeremiah Wright a few months ago, Obama was forced to make his infamous Philadelphia speech – which at the time, did little to aleve the country’s concerns about the influences ……

Mr. Martin: This is my first time coming to your site. I am a very avid political science student in Canada who also studies international relations. I am very grateful for your objective and fair approach to the Democratic campaigns. Mr. Martin, I am here in Canada, concerned about the state of political affairs in the United States, because I am fully aware that whatever affects there, affects us over here. There are already talking about assimilation of customs policies in terms of securing our borders. In any event, I feel extremely moved to express my utter frustration and resentment of the media in exploiting this Rev. Wright issue. They harp on it so much that I am at the point, along with my fellow colleagues, to stop watching CNN news until the campaign season is over. This is ridiculous, how on earth can someone be accountable for what their pastor says. I have goine to church before and heard my pastor speak, and was totally uncomfortable with not only the way message was delivered for that day, but I was also thrown off by the mannerism’s of the pastor. Much like the posturing Rev. Wright displayed. Some will say its confidence, some will see it as arrogance. Frankly, the fact that he mentioned he has a book coming out suggested he had personal ulterior motives in coming forward at this critical time in the campaign. It wouldn’t have made sense to come out at the early stages when Barak’s popularity was not as marked. But now, since it has become clear, he is well on his way to winning the nomination, now is a good time for Rev. Wright to come out and push forth his agenda. I am very upset with the folks at CNN and other news agencies that continue to harp on this issue. They insult many of their viewers intelligence when they continue with the monotony of sound bites over and over. Its almost as if they are trying to push for their own agenda…of possibly indirectly endorsing Hillary Clinton. I felt Senator Obama did the honorable thing of stating what his personal spiritual views are. Its also very important to understand from a Christian perspective, and I am a Christian, that many times a Christian’s salvation is viewed through spiritual eyes rather than religious ones. I say to say that I dont agree with all the messages delivered to my by my pastor, and ultimately understand that he cannot save me into the kingdom of God. Senator Obama should not have to give account for what his pastor beliefs or actions are. A Church is not summed up by its pastor or its administration. A Church in essence is made up by the entire congregation. Pastor Wright is a pastor but he does not get preferred status in order to get through the gates of heaven. Finally, Mr. Martin, please convey to the media that you appear on that we are TIRED of the distractions, the games, the spins, and everything else they have up their sleeves. We act like America has only two parties…the republicans and the democrats…not so, there are various other minorities…i’m not going to list them all…and for the past 8 years…our country has been run mostly by the republican party and the bush administration…our country today stands all splintered and divided…in the condition of the saying…”a house divided against itself cannot stand…we are a country of mixture…we all are stirred together in the mixing pot in our citizenship…no matter what label we put on ourselves and others in regard to our individual color, sex. rich/poor, party name…our common point of understanding needs to begin with who we are as americans…and what is best for this country we all live in together…our constitution is kept sealed in a glass case in congress…we know a piece of paper has not the power of the principles spoken of in it…that power lies in us americans given us from on high…we all as citizens of america must set aside all of our labels and differences for the good of us all…herein is where all of out hope lies…

Roland, I am going to share with you something that you may strongly disagree. I believe that one of the main reasons that the republican party don’t want to see Obama is his looks. I understand that this may seem simple minded, but let me express why. Remember the first move on generic food shopping? All of the products came in white packaging. Only certain shoppers would buy it, some who perhaps needed to wouldn’t because of the stigma of being poor. Some smart executive figured, “hey,what if we re-package the same product, it can stay relatively cheap and we reach more customers!” It worked. More people started buying store brand or generic, and today everyone (yes, even your girl Sharon McGee!) The point is presentation. How something or in this case, someone looks. Just think about it, close your eyes and put Hillary next to McCain, what do you see, two older white people,male and female. Now, close you eyes and put Obama next to McCain,now what do you see. The image is stark. People are generally more effected by what they see versus what they hear, though in resent times , that has not been the case. I am just simply saying that the republican party is afraid of the image of an older-looking white man stand ing next to a vibrate, young looking, handsome black man (hey, I know who I am I don,t have saying a man is handsome, if he is, I ain’t schird!) This leads to another point. When it’s time for debates between Obama and McCain, look for the McCain camp to ask for the round- table setting, which as you know and had even pointed out, plays right into Obama strong-suit. As you pointed out, Obama is more at ease when he is sitting down, I don’t know if it will make a difference for McCain. I just believe that they don’t want that image burned in the minds of the viewers.

HI. Roland. I saw you on television one night with Paula Zahn. It was the very first segment of the Out In THe Open segment. Yor were matched up against a white guy who cleaned your clock. You ended up fuming burning mad, and the white guy was laughing openly at you. You had expected the usual White Worm Platter, but had to face a white tiger instead. Not only did he not back down an inch from you, but it was him actually pushing the action. taking away your inches. you got smoked. However the next night you were still there, but the white tiger was not. What Happened? Did you start whining and worming because he was too much man for you? Did you do the “Black Thing”, go sneaking around behind someones back to get him taken off the show, rather then stand up like a man and face the challenge?? Is that what happened, He Man? You also got your ass kicked in the ‘Don Imus vs Roland Hitler’ fight. Imus got twenty million dollars, and a promotion to the biggest talk radio station in the country. Roland martin got his chest caved by free speech, and the grim realization that, after this, companies are not going to be bowing down to the black racists anymore the way they used to do. On March 26, 2008, McCain gave a speech on FOREIGN POLICY in Los Angeles, billed as his most comprehensive statement on FOREIGN POLICY. It contained the most DANGEROUS idea put forward by a presidential candidate in 25 years.

In his speech McCain proposed that the United States EXPEL Russia from the G8, the group of advanced industrial countries. (Moscow was included in the 1990s to recognize and reward it for peacefully ending the cold war on Western terms, dismantling the Soviet empire and withdrawing from large chunks of the old Russian Empire as well)
McCain also proposed that the United States EXCLUDED China from the G-8 as well.

What McCain has announced is DANGEROUS, he wants the United States to adopt a policy of ACTIVE EXCLUSION and HOSTILITY TOWARD TWO MAJOR GLOBAL POWERS.

McCain PLANS TO REVERSE a decades-old American policy of integrating Russia, and China, into the global order, a policy began under Richard Nixon (with China), and continued under Ronald Reagan (with Moscow). McCAIN’S POLICY WOULD ALIENATE MANY COUNTRIES IN EUROPE, AND ASIA, WHIHC WOULD SEE IT AS AN ATTEMPT BY THE USA TO BEGIN A NEW COLD WAR.
