Cynthnia, you are not confused. Presently, a Black male on a job who TRIES to be a Go-Getter, is called Aggressive. A White male on the other hand is called a Take-Charge-Kinda-Guy. Go figure!

This is why I work hard with the young males in my church. I already know life is going to start off with stero-types before each can open his mouth.

Prime example is W. Johnson retort to speak highly of Whites creating everything wonderful but sickening innuendo, BUT STILL LOOK AT BLACKS! To simply point out how destructive white racism is, look in our own backyard at the Native Americans. Do you think they are a happy lot of people? Though Black people are rightly entitled to affirmative action policies which were initially for WHITES ONLY, we still propered by creating inventions stolen from us, when there was no affrimative action.

touch, do you enjoy yourself at bar-be-ques, picnics or other outings where people might view life differently than you? I try to tell any young people who are studying, to insure they do volunteer work during their studies, and learn the craft and build their background, take outside seminar, that are offered all over the place, and seek out opportunitites, to have any OJT during thier school years.

Far too many people, think they can just go to school and come out and the world will lay out a red carpet… but people don’t understand the differences in education levels and institutions, if you go to Ivy League, you are in a network that is high set and fast pace, and their connection track students who perform, but general state universities, are processing people, until, a person gets to the “graduate level” and the ones who many times go to higher position, do their graduate work at a university that has the connection with strong tracking emphasis to push them in the right directions, but they still must invest time in the internships where they can, and other OJT connection that can give them some background… some people get involved in missionary work both domestic and international, and build their background.. but just to walk across the stage and get your paper in general.. is just not going to push one over the hill, into “success valley”…

As to Jobs, any Job is good… but what people seek to hire is people with a good “attitude”, a Can do disposition, and the presentation that represents the work,.. only people of exceptional skill, that can’t be denied get jobs who don’t manage their presentations concerns, and that’s in neatness, hygiene and communication ability..

A college degree does not guarantee a job, there are many people who work no where close to their studied field or earned degree of a particular course of study. Todays market, is not designed for negativity, there is not more interest in people who have bad attitudes, they cost the employer far too much, by the spread of negativity in diminishing the spirit within the work force..

I’ve interviewed for jobs, and in some instances, maybe I did not get the job, but in some instances, not only do I get the job, I’ve gotten the option to choose among available positions..

In my business, I wrote two dismissal letters recently, but it was based on principal of performance and the willingness to learn and do the work, and take a proactive engagment to do so, and such things was lacking, and after the repeated giving of opportunity, and positive support, the failure to invest themselves left me but one choice… and that was to “suspend the option of opportunity”..

hard choices are necessary in the climate of business today.. and it does not matter what color a person is in many jobs.. it matters about performance and the proactive engagement with a positive disposition… and attitude that is with the will to do.

some jobs, they may be less concerned with your ability to master every task, but they are very concerned with one’s ability to take on the task, and if they fall short, as long as they learn and are willing to try and take instruction and correct the issue, and continue in a progressive mindset.

I saw in LA they contracted the jobs out.. which were 18-22hr.. and they brought in a company paying 8.50 and 9.75 and the variance depended on if they choose insurance or not.. I see jobs that want to pay 10hr.. and there are such around.. they offer up nothing, of benefit.. take 80$ a day.. and imagine you cost.. @ 900 mo for rent 30 dollars, utilities, add in 9 day, now add in car payment, insurance, health insurance, food, and other incidentals. but first subtract tax from that $80.. with may leave you with what maybe 62-65, now take state and local tax from that, and you maybe have 55-57 dollars a day.. now take the 30 for rent, and the 9 for utilities, from 57 that leaves 18, now subtract food, subtract fuel… and there is nothing for a car payment, nor car insurance.. and recreation is totally out of the question.. and yet.. no medical insurance has been paid..
so by the end of the month the person is in the hole for nearly the same amount they cleared… so in rush.. state and fed aid.. which helps them maybe be at or about 20-35% in the hole or have 2-5% for the incidentals. Opps… we forgot, the kids may be in school, so forbid they need a Gym outfit, or some supplies, and then comes the uniforms.. now for those not in school… then comes the baby sitter expense.. and all of a sudden… they are in some cases better off to just get Federal assistance than working, because they are getting further in the hole.. now with the current stats of divorce in this nations.. it’s then is not ethnic, nor racial.. it’s economic 101..

our schools don’t teach financial managment, nor do they teach functional economic… hell, they don’t even teach basic civics’s anymore.. many people graduate.. with not hope to college, because they barely got thru high school on the economic side, and in a depressed enviornment.. what circles is educational deprivation.. and so the circle spins.. and people to survive.. may work to cheap paying jobs.. to get by, then we got social erosion because nobody is watching the barn yard where the kids are left to scurry.. and the landscape of a nations picture then is in live living color, 3-D…

yep.. calculating are fine, and they look functional on paper, to those not in the situation.. but once, in the situation, the realism of such figures and formulations, are non function, and not even fuzzy math equates to balance the variables.

I’m working now to create something that can inspire business in this city… and push along people who aspire to professional goals.. and I’ve had meeting with some council and other business owners.. and yes.. there is certainly apathy within the masses, but I have built within my program.. a youth section as well.. and I hope to get to the parents thru their kids, to bring them into involvement.. it’s an ambitious program .. but .. I know I can make it work.. and I’ve put a great amount of time into it.. to some it may not look like much, but it’s hope building, positive self action based … and to the willing and the desiring it will work.. I’ve depleted my saving, but the last little bit , goes into this program.. so my economic survival is equally tied into it.. and I personally refuse to fail.. because it’s not an option that I consider..

but I can tell you, I’ve seen more people black and white who are computer illiterate, and some have no concept of what it’s function is nor how it functions.. but what’s a trip, the computer is every place they go, and functioning to manage them even before they get there..

America breed this mindset, with the callousness of claim as being the richest nation, and people bought into it, who held no riches and had not means to hold any.. but they squander all on .. the illusion, and such is fad and fashion and popularity.. is the robber of many, nationwide.. America had lost it’s ability to earn and save back in the 70′s.. and by the 80′s we were as a nation living off of the foreign investments of Japan and others and now we have lived on credit borrowed from China for the past 8 or more years…

the situation is far from a simplicity of factors, but a multiplicity of factors, compounded and then the fractions have become compounded, which yeild.. not much left for the taking..
We see it in industry after industry selling and cashing out, so the few can live well at the demise of many.. and the cycle is not finished.. the element is not about re-distribution of wealth, its a matter of re-collection of wealth… and the top % figure of who’s with it, remains a generalized constant..

Now .. why.. because we have people who make millions and 10′s of millions and create nothing but gluttony, and opulence… and they employ none and create no business that promotes any.. and soon we continue to hear them in a cycle of wasted fortunes, sitting in the bankrupt chair.. wondering what the hell happen..

name me 10 sports players who have multi year 50-100 million contracts, that have a factory that produces anything ??? name me wall street brokers, that do anything other than buy up companies and sell of portions and result with a pocket full of money and a skeleton operation.. tethering on the brink of collapse, waiting on a buyer.

we are by far the less astute of the nations, when it comes to money and it’s managment.. people living in 10-20 millions dollar APARTMENTS, now what sense does that make.. hell you can buy a small multi rise building for that, in some localities.. or you can move to areas that have reasonable land and for that “for example” new York multi 10 million dollar unity.. they could have multi 100′s of acres and put that land to work producing something.

and the goal now is .. to get money.. so one has to do nothing, or get money, and then chase more for the sake of power.. and we have what we have.. as a result.

here’s our conditions in a nut shell.. We have spent
100′s of Billions on this war, and while our money is
burned like toilet tissue soaked in gasoline… the other
countries, are stockpiling that wasted money we throw
away… Abu Dubai, has bought the Chrysler building, they
are building 40 billion of New Sky scrapers, and everything
imaginable.

this country has cracked at it’s economic core.. and
yet is foolish to continue to pump.. 100′s of billions
into a Wasted War… nothing is stable in the US economy.. it’s beyond realism

value has become to be owned and more will be owned by those

government backs the Unions that form.. because they are
about their people having the means and getting systems
that pay each person with a sense of equilibrium..

housing situation could have been fixed, but the matter
is as they said.. they will not bail out the people, because
