Seriously, when are we going to stop talking about race? Racism is not new in this country and not going anywhere so what are we going to DO about it? Go on with our lives. We KNOW there are people who dislike us/hate us because of our race, WHO CARES? When racism was a “norm” in this country before the civil rights movement what did we do? We moved on with our lives. We thrived as best we could, we owned businesses, we had more unity, we had a family structure, we understood that whites didn’t not respect us but we didn’t let it stop us from living our lives and we didn’t sit around whining about it, we just DID what we needed to do to better ourselves and that needs to continue. Race is not an issue, we only make it an issue. Even before Barack became president it was no longer an issue. Our problems begin and end with US now, not racism. WE are showing ourselves as ignorant in the media (of course white America wants to see this from us but that doesn’t mean we should go along with it), we make constant excuses for ignorance, crime, lack of sexual responsibility, and many other negative things in our communities. WE have to change US and our behavior FOR us first and the world will respect us. We say we want respect from non black people and then we act “thuggish” and support this mentality not to mention the fact that we call ourselves the most derogatory term for a race on the planet while at the same time we get upset when a non black person uses the word.

Any self respecting black person is appalled at how we act these days, especially now that we have a half black man as president. We spit in the faces and dance on the graves of our ancestors who died to give us an opportunity to be truly free and have self respect. No more excuses, no more talk of racism. Lets fix our own issues and stop making excuses for them. Lets bring back the family structure, lets value education and strive to own business and property instead of continuing to speak broken English and embracing negativity and apply the slogan of “Change” to ourselves. The next revolution will come from black America addressing and cleaning up our act and no longer using racism as a crutch.

Support change and growth, abandon the crutch of racism and control our destiny. The power is within US.
