The CBC needs to realize that as a race the majority of African Americans just want EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY, which is what Dr. King and others fought and died for. I was unemployed immediately after the election last year, thanks to the PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES, I was given an extension on the number of weeks that I was allowed to receive unemployment benefits, and was also given a break on the amount that I had to pay to continue my health insurance through COBRA. All of this was done through legislation signed by President Obama. My niece and nephew were able to take advantage of legislation that allowed them to keep there homes. MY FAMILY AND I ARE ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS. I am a cancer survivor and am also being treated for rhematoid arthritis, so I really needed a break or I would not have been able to continue with my health care. Mr. Martin, I am surprised that you have turned so quickly. The President needs to remind America that his administration will not be able to fix in eleven months, what President Bush created in eight years. America has forgotten (quickly). And Mr. Martin, please tell me that you have not joined the naysayer party, the likes of Tavis Smiley. If the CBC decides to join the Republicans again, they will live to regret it. They must support President Obama NOW or pay for it later. This is the only President in recent history that is sincerely trying to help all people in America and that includes African American. If the 10 CBC members can't see the big picture ALL of THEM SHOULD leave the White House now, so the we the people can find suitable replacements.
