My father used to tell me that these so called christians from the south and mid west are the same people that have always fought against civil rights, voting rights, and education. Especially when it comes to blacks. It has been nearly 5 years since my dad died and I see his wisdom more and more each day. They have always fought against anything positive for people of color, therefore these comments from these jerks are of no surprise to me.

I am always amazed yet never surprised when such perspectives about people of color are made by so-called people of influence. The reality is that those who resort to making such commentary about others are in and of themselves lacking in either substance or significance. I beleive Dr. King referred to this as “the content of a man’s character.” You see, the aging process in humans is supposed to evidence one’s ability to continuously grow and mature. “We hold these truths to be [self]-evident.” In the end, it doesn’t matter that others refuse to accept truth as an agent of change in their perspectives. Change is no respector of persons and theirs, too, is without sanctuary.
