“Chairman Brock is focused on affordable health care, employment and decreasing African-American incarceration rates.” Is the NAACP (another taxpayer funded hate-group) were so concerned about “African-American incarceration rates.” why don't they stop trying to blame “whitey” and start educating African-Americans to stop committing crimes?? Ever hear of taking responsibility for your own actions? Does she think more whites should be locked up instead to level the playing field? As an ex-inmate myself (legal weapon found in my car but I had an expired gun permit) I can tell you most blacks learn nothing! They talk of their next “big score”. They brag about the old women they've mugged. Then, they complain that how it's only “white racism” that has them locked up. The race-card at it's finest.

Love your show and think your opinions are objective. I agree with Roslyn Brock's agenda for the NAACP on health care and unemployment in the Black communities. I think the law is a little bias when it comes to race but I think we also need more education in our community. People can't go around actiing stupid and not expect to end up in jail.

Don't you think you sound a little uninformed when you make general comments about Black people with the little experience you had with your fellow inmates? I don't think you have met 'most' Black people. And yes, crime needs to be purnished regardless of race or creed. What the NAACP wants to establish is for the law to be applied evenly for all Americans facing the same crime. Not that some get a slap on the wrist for the same crime that ends Black mates substantial time in jail. I think all communities need to be educated because you will find the same comments made by criminals of every race whether White or Black or somewhere inbetween. We all hold our communities to a higher standard and no one smiles on crime… But when you have laws which define two individuals who committed the same crime differently, something needs to be done to address it. A good example will be black teenagers being rowdy in the city and the cops are called they most likely will make an arrest. The same incident with white teenagers about the same age doing the same thing and the cops are called will be reprimanded, described as being hot blooded and asked to go home. Unfortunately it is a country built on racism so we cannot pretend that because we have made significant progress today things are now equal. So don't get confused no one is blaming all ills in society on racism and at the sametime it is a potent part of the culture we live in which cannot be ignored.

On a local level, National NAACP provides administrative support. 60% of our fundraising efforts go to National. These shared financials arrest the development of quality service we could offer to the community. I'm glad the new chairman will bring her social network. Adding more people will improve financials. Perhaps then National will take less from their branches.

@mdeaton..you need better associates…big scores and mugging old women is destined for private prison labor camps run by “whitey”. We're talking free labor and a billion dollar industry. They're leveling the playing field and locking up whiteys, too. What he finds is his outsourced job was insourced to the prison. He got the spot, now workin' it for free.

Two things I would love to see happen regarding the NAACP. I realize the historical significance of their name but perhaps it is time to change the name (maybe NAABP). Also I would like to hear some specifics on how they intend to accomplish their new mission.
