Roland discusses student loans that are being blocked or hindered by banks. Banks are getting paid to distribute funds to students but are not allocating enough funds to help college students. Sec. Arne Duncan has stated that if the banks are removed from the student loan system, the government can save up to $84 billion over the next 10 years.
Students need to mobilize and fight for more money to be released. Those who are blocking President Obama’s initiative to allocate more funds for students will be named and called out.
