Roland talks with Speaker Nancy Pelosi about what is next on the agenda for the Democratic Party. Speaker Pelosi discusses the passage of the health care bill, the student loan reform bill and funds being allocated for HBCUs. Pelosi proceeds to discuss jobs, making people not just employees but employers as well as the president’s three pillars for job creation through health care, education and clean energy.
Roland asks Speaker Pelosi about performance royalties where radio stations will have to pay to play music. Pelosi explains that people who perform have a product and she does not see how their product can be free. She also states that this has to done in a fair way.
