I Have been reading and looking at tributes to Mrs. Dorothy Height. All of the honor is well deserved. I look at her life as an example. She has lived through so much history, no doubt she was a extremly intelligent woman. I read how she has talked with our President and how she has given him advice. I wish so many other black leaders and politicians could follow her example. If no one else she has the right if she wanted to to criticize our President, but she chose to help build up instead of tear down. I think our President is so unappreciated. He has done so much in the short time in office and does not get credit. It seems like every thing that happens in America negative so one has to try to put the blame on him. Really if you think about it he as surpassed the expectations of a lot of doubters. I am really proud of our President. It's just sad when I see some of the leaders like Steele, Blackwell, Smiley, Armstrong and many others get on TV and make negative remarks. Back to the beginning of my blog, they have not paid the price yet to be so critical. It's more like jealousy and that is really bad. Our black boys and girls now have an example of “you can do anything and be anything you want” in our President. But the media is telling them that if you do all the things right, go to school, get good grades, excel, be a good father and husband, it is not good enough. The minute after the election night speech people started to say negative things about our President, it is so sad. I pray every day that God takes care of President Obama and his family. It's like some are just wishing negative things on him. When he was elected we were in bad shape, if Washington had just come together with him, they could have shown the world how democracy works, but they all had their own political agendas. I have never seen a opponent like McCain and Palin, they are still in the spot light campaigning against our President. Can you imagine what shape we would have been in if they had won?? People are writing books, talk shows, etc. getting rich off of hating our President, making millions of dollars off of selling hate. They really should love the President, becuase he is a big stimulus for their selfish pockets. Just think what our young politicians are thinking about all this? What are they being taught about Politics. We really need more people like Mrs. Height to be mentors to the suppose to be grown ups in poitics today.

By Roland S. Martin Editor-in-Chief RolandMartinReports.com I hate the Dallas Cowboys. No, I don’t dislike them. I flat out cannot stand anything about the Dallas Cowboys.
