On our agenda this week, making relationships work with Tyrese Gibson and Omarosa; then changing face of the Black church with Dr.
Bobby Jones, host of “Bobby Jones’ Gospel”; Christopher “Play” Martin of Kid ‘n’ Play; and, of course, my wife, Rev. Jackie Hood Martin, an ordained minister and author; the ongoing crisis in Haiti with CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien and former NBA great Alonzo Mourning. Black music and Black culture with hip-hop pioneers Chubb Rock, Speech from Arrested Development, and Chris “Kid” Reid from Kid ‘n Play. And two special treats: four comics who will crack you up, as well as a golf outing with a bit of trash talking and a special surprise caddy. All that and more on this special edition of “Washington Watch” from the Tom Joyner cruise, which begins right here, overlooking
the blue Caribbean.

We as Blacks better wake up and know that the Latinos are not in our corner as we are in theirs. They have a government who deals with this government for them. Since Dr King we have no one to go beyond getting “training” for Blacks not jobs. The Mexicans have gotten “push 1 for english” and they have jobs, jobs and more jobs. What are we training for? They are trained on the job and are making salaries beyond what we are led to think. ($50,000 plus)Blacks can not even get a janitorial job, garbage collector, Churchs' chicken, Mac Donalds or anything and it has been this way for 3 decades, (30 years). After the civil rights act George W Bush opened up the boarders and declared everyone (women) as “minorities” and all of the Black businesses were depleted to Asian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean and China only to mention a few.We are still playing the “training” game that leads to nowhere. Even college is not a guaranteed job, a lot of PHd's are homeless to this day. Yet the attorney general is suing the state of Arizona in behalf of the Mexicans but looks the other way for the Black profiling and police, KKK, arians, tea baggers etc.I do not know what causes us as a people to dream past the reality of the circumstances. The Mexicans are going to put us in chains in order to take back their claim on the US and they have a country, a wealthy government to make sure they get what the Blacks once had. I am not sure we ever had all of what they have here in the US. Immigrations is a front to take ones eyes off the real prize that is happening. How could we be so asleep as Black people? We will never get jobs only jails and killed as we are taking a backlash for Obama being a Black President.

The Mexican- Americans are an organized group who have not been the victims of “divide and conquer.” Due to limited English and because of job skills obtained in their native land, many Latinos have these job skills passed down from father to son ( like we used to do). In Afica craftsman, artists and laborors also pass down job skills/training in trades from father to son. In both cases te chaces for a successful family business if much better than for todays Black youth.

ROLAND S. MARTIN: Football Power In Texas Has Shifted To Houston

By Roland S. Martin Editor-in-Chief RolandMartinReports.com I hate the Dallas Cowboys. No, I don’t dislike them. I flat out cannot stand anything about the Dallas Cowboys. The year they went 1-15, I was ticked they won that one game. When they played in those three Super Bowls in the ’90s, I rooted hard for the opposition. Hell, I hate them more than the Ku Klux Klan! That’s why I take great pleasure in seeing the transfer of power in the [...]
