TJMS: Roland Martin goes in on Kwame ‘Playa Mayor’ Kilpatrick

Roland Martin details the circumstances surrounding former Detroit mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick’s sentencing. Yesterday, Kilpatrick was sentenced to up to five years in prison for numerous parole violations.

    While I totally agree with your assessment of former Mayor Kilpatrick, I can't help but see the lopsided penalties meted out to other politicians.
    The first one that comes to mind is the Governor of South Carolina, who not only hasn't had any charges lodged against him, he still maintains his lucrative position as governor. It's true two wrongs don't make a right but it's hard to look past what the Governor did and focus on Kilpatrick's short comings.
    What's missing here is equal justice and until we get that you'll continue to see Blacks dealt more severe penalties than their White counterparts.
