Roland Martin talks with Ed Gordon about President Barack Obama’s fatherhood initiative. This initiative will shine a light on fatherhood and how important it is. President Obama is will ask fathers to take a pledge and help raise their children.
Gordon explains that we can not ignore what it means to have a father in the life of a son or daughter. “There is a nurturing element of fathers. There’s things that frankly men do and do better than women in terms of raising and vice versa”. Gordon also said, “The importance of fatherhood can not be overstated”.
