TJMS: Roland Martin addresses the Shirley Sherrod issue, Dr. Jean Howard Hill talks Tea Party

Roland Martin addresses the Shirley Sherrod controversy and the decision made to ask for her resignation. Roland explains that the position that he took on the issue was based on the initial information available and the Department of Agriculture’s stance on the situation.
Roland goes on to explain that had the entire video been available, a different conclusion would have been made.

During the second part of the segment, Roland talks with Dr. Jean Howard Hill, an African-American Republican, about the GOP accepting the Tea Party and confronting the racist elements within their movement.
Dr. Hill explains that the Tea Party Movement does not have centralized leadership. She continues to say that the movement is so fragmented that “you got everything in the tea…”
