TJMS: Roland Martin: Do Not Just Focus On Governors And Congressional Races, Down-Ballot Races Are Equally Important

Roland Martin details some very important and tight races that are taking place across the country.
Races to watch:

- The California Attorney General race featuring Kamala Harris. Karl Rove has pumped over $1 million into the race just to keep her winning.
- Michael Thurmond running for United States Senate in Georgia.
- Georgia gubernatorial race, Republican, Nathan Deal has talked about ghetto grandmothers and voter ID cards has said he is proud of voting against the voter rights act faces off against former governor, Democrat Roy Barnes.
- Florida Senate race between Marco Rubio, Charlie Crist and Kendrick Meek.
- Republican Tim Scott will be the first Black Republican in Congress since J.C. Watts.
- Florida gubernatorial race between Democrat Alex Sink and Republican Rick Scott.
- The ballot initiatives in Florida, which will determine how congressional districts are drawn. The NAACP is for this initiative while Congresswoman Corinne Brown is against the measure.
- Reasons why you never vote straight Democrat or Republican Texas Democrat Keisha Rogers who wants to impeach President Obama and is a Lyndon LaRouche supporter.
- In Indiana the Secretary of State race featuring Democrat Vop Osili. This race is important because the secretary of state determines election rules in any election

Roland also explained voters should not only focus on the various governors races and congressional races. Roland said, “The down-ballot races are just as critical. I’m talking about state reps, state senators, people over water districts, tax districts.” He also put a special emphasis on judge races to make sure there is a “compassionate judge sitting behind that bench.”
