Tucker Carlson filled in for Sean Hannity Tuesday night on Fox News and made a shocking claim: Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick should be executed.

Carlson led a panel discussion pegged to President Obama’s recent phone call with the Eagles owner, in which he applauded the Eagles for giving Vick a second chance following his time in jail over his dogfighting scandal.

Wow. However, he claims to be a christian. We are talking about someone who definitely did something wrong. No animal should be tortured but ‘Executed’? A pedophile may do jail time and then get put on a predator list, all the while they have spiritually and physically killed the kid that was violated. Also, drunk drivers kill people every day and are not executed. That is the right proving once again how wrong they are. Who in their right mind could argue any of these points?

  • Nosnihr430

EXECUTION!!! For killing dogs, albeit horrible-I know some people love their dogs more than people – but how can anyone say a man should be executed? Perhaps making stupid remarks should be a crime punishable by stoning or caning – then people would consider choosing their words carefully. He has paid for his crime, why can’t the man be allowed to move on? There have been people that raped and/or killed their wives, children that were allowed to get off a death sentence. Tucker Carlson – let it go and find another horse to beat.

  • Dartery

This is the blatant forked-tongue hypocrisy of the right! You cannot call yourself a Christian and with the same mouth speak like a merciless Pharisee. Can bitter and sweet water come from the same fountain? I do not think so. For God sake let Michael Vick heal and move on with his life dammit! He has paid his debt for his crime.

  • Fennie62

First of all you aren’t a Christian because Christ died for our sins so that he would forgive and that we should forgive others who trespass against us. You probably would rather he killed humans as did Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, and other serial “HUMAN’ killers. Your problem is that you are RACIST and not a Christian as you described yourself. Yes, he was wrong for being involved in Dog fighting, but let the punishment fit the crime. What do u suggest we do with people who killed millions of slaves and that wasn’t too long ago.

  • d dub

Christianity is really funny, huh? Such a convenient religion! When Rev. Jeremiah Wright HIGHLIGHTED TRUTH during a sermon, Fox attacked him, but Tucker claiming Christianity and wishing death is A-OK!

You can hope death on a man for allowing his house to be used for dog fighting–which was UNDENIABLY a wrong thing to d but certainly never a reason to assert that any man should have been executed, but be exempt from the laws of reaping and sowing??? Does that mean Tucker should have been executed for every wrong thought, word and deed? What a stupid thing to say.

Should every person who had anything to do with discrimination that LED to death in this country be executed? Well many of them are still alive. Should the families of slave owners still reap the financial benefits that they acquired as a result of abuse still be rich, or should that money be distributed among the descendants of those who REALLY did the work? Do you eat cows, pigs or birds? Then perhaps PETA would agree that you too should have been executed? Should the man who slaughtered the pig on thanksgiving 2009 during the sarah palin interview also have been executed? WHY WOULD WE EVEN POST STUPIDITY LIKE THIS, ROLAND? it gives undeserved attention to idiots.

  • d dub

uhhh, he is a christian. and so were many others who did and said stupid things. it is not a reason to revoke their christian cards, but certainly a reason to re-examine how much stock we invest in man rather than spiritual principals. pastors say things like this ALL THE TIME…but it is usually directed at gay people, adulterers and others. no offense, but i am completely astonished when christians seem shocked at these things. lest we forget-there were churches that made blacks sit in the back…OR DIDN’T ALLOW THEM IN AT ALL…
