Actor Peter Fonda Unhappy With Pres. Obama Calls Him A Traitor

Peter Fonda is the latest Cannes-goer to speak his mind at the film festival. The actor verbally attacked President Barack Obama for his handling of the Gulf oil spill. “I sent an email to President Obama saying, ‘You are a f**king traitor,’ using those words … ‘You’re a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military — in this case the coastguard — what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do’.” He also slammed BP, calling the company “a bunch of Brits.” “I thought we kicked them out a long time ago,” he added. “They tried to get back in in 1812, but they didn’t make it.” The “Easy Rider” star was in Cannes for the premiere of the environmental documentary “The Big Fix,” which he co-produced.(George Pimentel/FilmMagic/Getty Images)
