Minnesota Preacher Slams Obama’s Faith During Legislative Session, House Speaker Apologizes

In the Minnesota House Friday morning, an anti-gay pastor Bradlee Dean opened the legislative session at the invitation of Republican representative Ernie Leidiger. Dean concluded his prayer with a random, not so veiled shot at President Obama and his religion.
Dean’s final words:
“It’s not about the Baptists, not about the Catholics alone, or the Lutherans, or the Evangelicals, or any other denomination, but rather the head of the denomination, and his name is Jesus, as every president up until 2008 has acknowledged and we pray it in Jesus’ name.”
